Eggsperiment

Greetings fellow Scientists!

Meet the star of our today's session:


We conducted two EGGsperiments:

In the first one, we answered the following question: What are egg shells made of? Crushed egg shells were reacted with hydrochloric acid. The gas released was passed through limewater which turned milky/cloudy (carbon dioxide was released).
Egg shells are made out calcium carbonate.




The second EGGsperiment aimed at measuring how much gas can be released in this reaction:



We also set up an experiment where the whole raw egg was immersed in hydrochloric acid:

Glowing magic mud

Greetings fellow Scientists!

Today we made non-Newtonian liquid that can glow in the UV light.

Equipment used:


We started by extracting the starch:




Then, we added some tonic water with quinine:



After that the fun started!
