Trip to Poland - day 1

Greetings fellow Scientists!

We have been planning this for weeks and the day has finally come. Today we started our adventure - the trip to Poland to visit our partner school! At 3:30am (give us some credit for getting up so early!) we boarded the coach which took us to Stansted Airport.

At the airport, some of us enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate:

A few hours later we landed at the Goleniów Airport in Poland. The flight was quick and pleasant. We were welcomed by the partner school co-ordinator, Mrs Grażyna Ochwat. On the coach to our hotel we enjoyed some delicious doughnuts.

Before lunch we had a chance to visit a salt cave. Himalayan salt is the healthiest and purest salt available on earth. It shows remarkable healing properties. It contains up to 80 elements necessary for the proper functioning of the body.

Straight after lunch it was time for some sightseeing. Mr Tomasz Sosin, a history teacher, showed us around. Stargard is well known for the gothic architecture. We had a chance to have a look at some wonderful sites.

Next, we went to our partner school where we met the members of the Volcano Science Club and took part in the rehearsal for tomorrow's official assembly.

Apart from that, we enjoyed the best waffles in town!

Our trip continues tomorrow. Make sure to visit our website to read about our adventures.
