Trip to Poland - day 4

Greetings fellow Scientists!

Our morning started with a visit to the water treatment station where we learnt about the way water is purified before it enters our homes. It was interesting to see how freshwater mussels are used as bioindicators to monitor the quality of water.

After that, we visited newly refurbished sweage treatment plant. It's a state of the art place which ensures that all the waste is appropriately stored to maintain safe environment in the city.

We spent most of the day at the Bread House in Marianowo (Chlebowy Dom). Here we had a chance to bake cookies, pastries and various types of bread.

We also visited Basteja - a museum where we learnt about history and archeological findings in Stargard.

Lastly, we were treated like royalty at the lush dinner organised by father Oliwiak who teaches RE in our partner school.
